Software Ergonomics and UsabilityA crucial aspect of software quality is the so-called software usability and ergonomics. This term refers to the suitability of a product used by certain users in a certain context, who should fulfill their objectives effectively, efficiently and flawlessly. The focus here is always on the human as a typical user of software or a technical device.
The ergonomics and usability testing are among the empirical techniques of software evaluation, in contrast to analytical methods such as Cognitive Walkthrough. Different variants and methods are presented and considered with regard to your strengths and weaknesses.
The aim of the workshop is to provide basic knowledge of ergonomics and software usability. This knowledge will be taught through a mix of lectures and workshops.
The detailed contents of the workshops will be agreed with you in advance. The duration of this practical workshop is 2 days and can be performed at your place.
